Recently Facebook has been releasing tools created to help small businesses market themselves and promote their fan pages. The Facebook Timeline has been a drastic change that some users love and some users absolutely hate with a passion. Luckily, we here at FSMS believe that the Timeline is an amazing feature and opens a ton of new doors for marketing your small business on Facebook. In this post we will explain the importance of each new feature and how your business can benefit from them!

Promoted Post

This feature was just released about a week or so ago and we have been seeing it used everywhere! It is getting harder and harder to appear in you fans news feeds, and with Promoted Posts you will be able to appear as a promoted story on their news feed. This gives your business the opportunity to reach all of your fans and even the friends of your fans.

On your businesses fan page, you will see a “Promote” button located in the bottom right hand corner of your status box. When you press this button, you are presented with a box displaying how much money you would like to spend to promote your post, and how many people your post should reach depending on the amount of money spent.

If you plan on creating a status for an event, deal/special, or anything important about your business that you would like for everyone to know, you should promote your post! Business owners have been seeing great results from this feature and we believe that the potential is amazing for creating viral posts and truly reaching your fan base.

Pint to Top

The “Pin to Top” feature is an awesome way to show your fans exactly what you want them to see when they enter your fan page. You can find this option located in the “Edit or Remove” section of an existing post. After pressing the button, the status will appear at the top of the page for as long as you’d like, which is another awesome feature for small businesses!

If you are about to hold a special or deal, then you should be sure to pin your post to the top of your page as a call to action! Now you will not have to worry about an important post being lost in the never ending sea of updates on your fan page. Be sure to take advantage of this feature since it can be extremely effective!

Highlight Post

Creating a “Highlighted” Post is exactly what it sounds like! When you create a post and choose to highlight it, your post is then enlarged and spans across both columns of updates on your fan page. All you have to do is press the star located in the top right hand corner of your status box. What we see most businesses doing, is creating an image for an event and highlighting it. This makes the image stand out to your fans and will increase the overall amount of views. If your customers see a post that is larger than the others, we are pretty sure that they will be more apt to view it than all of your other smaller posts. Luckily you do not have any limit on the amount of posts that you can highlight, so you can highlight a series of important posts to make them stand out from the others!

Offers

The “Offers” feature is truly our overall favorite feature that Facebook has recently released! We happen to promote a lot of local businesses such as restaurants and retail stores. This means that we handle a lot of deals and offers for each of the businesses. In the past, we had to install an application on our customers fan pages to create Facebook based coupons. Now we can simply create an offer by clicking the “Offers” button located in the top right hand corner of your status box. Unfortunately not everyone has this feature yet, but Facebook said that they will be rolling it out the feature to more fan pages each day!

You are now able to create a coupon that is displayed directly on your fan page as if it were a status. Business owners are allowed to add a photo, description, expiration date, and terms & services section on their offers. Whenever a fan redeems one, they will be sent an email containing the offer so that they can print and bring it to the businesses physical location. Fans are also allowed to receive the offer one time, which is great for ensuring that some customers are not printing out tons of duplicates. Plus fan page owners are allowed to see how many people have redeemed the coupon so that they can see how effective the offer truly was.

We believe that Facebook is truly starting to understand our marketing needs and really wants’ to help small businesses benefit from their fan pages. Hopefully you have learned a thing of two from our post and be sure to start using these features to get the most out of your businesses page! If you have any other suggestions or marketing tips for the Facebook Timeline, be sure to send us a Tweet to @FrogSolution, or post a tip on our own Facebook Fan Page!

The social media management industry has grown tremendously in the past year, but the rates that community managers should be charging is still undetermined. In this article, we will give you a few suggestions as to what you should be charging your clients and what services your clients should be receiving in return.

Community Manager Description

/

Service Rate Ideas

Social media marketing is still a new career, and a lot of people are attempting to create their own business instead of accepting an in house position for another company. When you are an in house community manager, the business will usually pay you a full time salary that ranges anywhere from $25,000-$50,000 a year. If you decided to take the route of self employment, then you will have to determine your rates based on what the client is asking to receive from social media. This is where it gets tricky. Most community managers are new and do not know what an average rate is per client, so they charge the same rates for all of their services. This is a HUGE mistake!!!

The way that we have determined what we charge clients is based on the services they require and the estimated amount of time that we will be working on their accounts each week. Most businesses that are looking for a community manager do not have any social media accounts created so this is a service you will have to provide them. We all know that creating accounts on each social network takes a matter of 5 minutes so there should be no extra charge for this service. You can even tell your client that you will throw this service in for free so it seems as if they are receiving a better deal.

Whenever we sit down with a client, we first discuss what they are trying to accomplish by gaining a social media presence. Once you determine what the potential clients goal is, then I trust that you will know what services they will need you to provide for them to accomplish their goal.

Personally we charge about $300/month for restaurants, because the services required are usually just post creation on Twitter and Facebook, and you have to engage customers. If a restaurant owner decides that they would like to have content, events, and contest creation, then we will usually charge and extra $150-200, which would bring the monthly rate to about $450-$500/month. The rates go up because we will have to create the content, events, and contests ourselves, which could take up quite a bit of time and brain power so that everything is original to the client. Time is money right?

However, if you happen to land a client that owns a large business/corporation, then you can absolutely increase the rates of your services. The reason behind raising the rates is not because the potential client has more money, but because the client will need more time invested into their social media campaign. Think about the community managers that operate Coca-Cola’s social networks. They have to be working on new strategies for their social media campaigns because they have such a large community. If you have a client that has thousands of active community members, then you will have to be focusing on their account a lot more than a mom & pop shop. So be sure to raise the rates for your services when you have an extremely established client. You will need to invest more time and you should always keep them satisfied and do whatever it takes to make them successful. Having one huge could take up a large portion of your work week so charge accordingly.

Hopefully this post gives you a little bit of an idea as to what you should be charging potential clients. Always remember to never have a set fee for your services because it will make clients happy knowing that you are going to adjust the rates to specifically suite their needs. Let’s hear what all of you social media marketers and community manager’s charge!!!

Twitter is a great marketing tool for small and large businesses alike. There are so many ways to use this awesome social networking website that a ton of businesses still do not take advantage of. Well I am here to give you a few ideas as to how you can market through Twitter, and receive new leads, customers, and followers for your business!

Joining Conversations

Nobody likes to be “spammed” while they are trying to enjoy talking with their friends and viewing some of their favorite brands Twitter accounts. Therefore, if someone followers your account, then do not interrupt their news feed all day with your promotions! Take part in some discussions that are being held amongst other relevant businesses and consumers. This way you will be able to give back to the community with your knowledge, and at the same time create trust within your community and others users as well.

Finding a conversation about your industry is not difficult at all. It will take about 3 minutes if you do it correctly! First, search for a topic by entering a word into the search bar that may be related to your company. For example, if you are a marketer then you should simply search “#Marketing” within the search bar to find existing conversations. Second, JOIN THE CONVERSATION! Add your insight and give people some tips. This is a great step in the right direction and will really bring in more followers if you do share some great information and ideas.

Products

I know that I said it is wrong to simply just promote your products on your Twitter account, and it is! You should incorporate posts about your product throughout the day, but don’t overdo it and simply just post about your product in every single Tweet. I would say a good formula for promoting your product throughout the day would have to be 1 product post for every 3 informative posts that you make. This way you are sending our useful information and at the same time presenting your product to your followers, which at this point should all be targeted and possibly interested in your product/services.

Promotions

Be sure to use the same formula as above, 1 promotion every 3 informative posts. Remember that formula, I promise it will get you far! Now start sharing some of your businesses promotions, or events that you may be holding. If you have done a good job at hand picking your followers, then you should be able to create a buzz amongst your community by sharing an applicable promotion. For example, if you are a marketer, and you have a networking event involving marketers, SHARE IT! This is a useful post that gives value to your business instead of simply coming off as a promotion. Although, if you do have a promotion that involves a discount, share it sparingly, as this can drive away followers if they feel that they are being “spammed”.

Blog Posts

Do you have a blog? Yes? Well good. Now is the time to start sharing your businesses blog posts with your community. Most users go on Twitter to chat with friends and if they are not doing that, then they are looking for helpful information. Sure you should always be sharing information from other related sources and not just your businesses, but if you have great posts, then Tweet them! I am not saying that you should share your blog post 10 times a day because you liked it, keep it in moderation. Your community will appreciate that you are giving them some free tips and information. Showing your followers that you post useful information will help your business gain trust as being an expert in your field, because it will basically show that you know what you are talking about and not just making it up on the spot.

Other Social Media Accounts

This is by far the easiest step of them all. Does your business have a Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, or any other social networking accounts? If you answered no, then you are beyond helping at this point… Just kidding! Get on it and make those accounts immediately! After you have done so, or you already have accounts, then start sharing with your other community members that you have a Twitter account. If you have made some Twitter specific competitions, or anything along those lines, then you should post on your other accounts and announce the competition that is being held. By doing so, you will be able take existing fans from your other accounts, and bring them to your Twitter account to participate.

I hope that these tips will help spark some ideas for your Twitter marketing strategy and bring your business more followers, customers, and leads. If you want to ask some questions, then post a comment in the section below, or send us a Tweet to @FrogSolution!

The influence of social media on the conversion of sales is outstanding compared to traditional marketing. Being involved and creating a community using social media has never been as important as it currently is today. It is a proven science that a one-on-one interaction with customers creates a rapport between the consumer and the business. Building trust and loyalty converts into more sales PERIOD!

Most businesses have forgotten about the way our ancestors operated their businesses, and this is the biggest mistake that can be made today. Having a mom & pop shop mentality will give customers a comfortable and personable feeling towards your company, and using social media is the perfect way to accomplish this goal. Every customer should be interacted with, on one level or another. Interaction leads to trust and trust leads to loyalty. Gaining a customer’s loyalty and trust will lead to a word of mouth marketing campaign.

Word of mouth marketing is one of the most effective strategies that any business can pursue using social media. For example, a client compliments you on your services, and you then respond to the client on their social networking platform of choice. This leads to the customer spreading word of your company because of the personal interaction. Let’s say a fan of Starbucks reaches out to the business on Twitter and says “I love Starbucks Coffee”. Starbucks should then send a response such as “What is your favorite cup of coffee?” This leads to the customer feeling a sense of importance, because their favorite brand has mentioned them and took into consideration what their favorite cup of coffee was. Little things like this build a strong and loyal community. When a business can build a loyal community, then they will always be guaranteed sales and will expand their consumer base by existing customers spreading their business through word of mouth amongst social media networks.

People do not visit websites to find information about the best movie that is currently out, or what the best seafood restaurant is anymore. Consumers now find their information on social networking websites. If a Facebook user views a friend’s status and it says “Robs Seafood is the best!”, then the user will most likely check out what their friend has recommended, instead of what so called “professionals” prefer on other websites. This demonstrates how the word of mouth affect, using social networking websites, is one of the most important assets towards any business.

Social Media is an excellent tool to build a strong community that cannot be reached with banners, flyers, commercials, and other ad campaigns. Social interaction between businesses and customers is a growing trend that is increasing sales and growing brand loyalty by keeping in contact with a community on a day to day basis. 67% of shoppers who receive a recommendation from their social media graph are proven to spend more money. Also remember, one-on-one interaction with targeted customers is the key to a successful brand. Let’s take a look at how each Social Networking Site can be used to amplify your businesses community and sales.

Facebook

Facebook currently has over 500 million active users and continues to grow on a daily basis. Gaining targeted local traffic towards your business has never been easier. Creating a Fan Page will give your business a presence on Facebook, and offer the ability for fans of your business to personally connect with your company and share this with others. A Fan Page consists of a “Like” button, which when pressed displays your businesses name on the person’s profile that clicked upon the button. This gives the opportunity for their friends and contacts to view your business because it will appear in their “Newsfeed”.

Your business could already have current customers searching for your businesses Fan Page to view news about your company. Businesses who are lacking a Fan Page are not taking advantage of the vast amount of local users available on this social network. A Fan Page can be used to represent business news, sales, and events that consumers may be interested in. When consumers are able to learn news in an instantaneous manner, it is more appealing to them than waiting for the newspaper to come, or commercial to air and announce your businesses news. Facebook is one of the best platforms to create social interaction with your customer base and create brand loyalty.

Twitter

Twitter has just reached 200 million users in 2011. This is easily the second best social networking platform that is used to date for promoting businesses. Twitter’s unique service is excellent to present customers with live news. A “Tweet” is a 120 character message that is sent to your community, aka “Followers”. Locally targeted followers are a valuable resource to a company that is present on Twitter. When a user decides to “Follow” a business’s Twitter account, they are agreeing to receive updates from the company. With today’s consumer base having a short attention span, Twitter is the perfect tool to get news out with speed, and as little writing as possible.

The amount of “Followers” a business has is not as important as how targeted and engaged their followers really are. A company that has thousands of followers who are not targeted will cease to see the results of a business with 100 followers that are directly targeted and interacted with regularly. This social network can be used to represent sales, events, or industry news that your business may be having in a real-time environment. Most Twitter users use a mobile version of this social network. This gives the opportunity for a business to post a Tweet, and the user will receive it even on the go. Converting sales is easier than ever using targeted traffic and short bursts of information, which keeps customers intrigued.

YouTube

Customers today do not have the patience to sit down and read an article. They are more interested in viewing an informative video. YouTube offers this service for free and has over 490 million unique visitors every month. By creating informational and promotional videos, your business will be able to promote itself on another leader in the social networking industry. Creating videos will convert sales in ways that a simple commercial cannot.

By placing a link in the “Learn More” section of the video, your business will be presenting the consumer with a link to your businesses website, or other social media accounts. If a video is created to promote a new service or product, the business can also place a link that leads directly to the offered service or product. This gives an ease of access to the customer. When consumers watch a commercial, they are presented with the brand and product, but have to either call a number or visit the businesses location to view it. By introducing potential customers to short and viral videos on YouTube, you will be promoting your brand as well as creating a social experience by using the comments box below to create discussion and interaction.

Pinterest has been quite a buzz amongst social media marketers recently. If you do not know what Pinterest is yet, then you are missing out on a great platform for sharing content such as images and videos! This social network consists of profiles that contain “Boards”, which are titled areas designated for specific content. Here are a few Pinterest marketing tips to get the ball rolling!

Contests

Creating contests is a great way to increase engagement within communities on social networking sites. We like to create “Pin-it to Win-It” contests. These contests allow users to take part in sharing their favorite videos or images with us through the creation of public boards. Public boards allow users to post their content within the designated contest board. By doing this, you are allowing your community to be seen on your Pinterest page. You must individually add each person’s username to the board so that they can post within it, but it is absolutely worth the time.

For example, we are about to create a “Vision board” contest for one of our clients, which are boards that consist of images that users want to have, be, or do in their life. Pinterest boards can be shared through Twitter, Facebook, Email, and users can even embed boards onto any website of their choosing. Embedding is great, because we can post our favorite Vision Board onto our client’s website for the entire community to see! We have chosen to have users submit their Vision Boards to our client’s social networking accounts through any of the above options. We will then create a board that contains the Vision Boards that we personally find to be the best. This is a great way for our client’s community to be engaged. A contest will increase the amount of followers to their Pinterest page and overall increase the amount of “Likes” and Followers on their other social networks.

Personality

If you are a social media marketer, then you know that businesses should have a personality and show a personal side with their community. A great way to show users what the people behind the business are truly like is by creating boards filled with pictures and videos that are personal favorites. For example, our company has an “Office Supplies Wish List” board, which shows our community what we wish to get in the future. This displays that we are not only creating boards about social media, but that we also have boards that contain funny, creative, and bad advertisements, so that when our community members visit our page they can have a laugh.

We are allowing our community to see what we think is funny, which is a great way to make people feel as if they truly know who we are and so they will have a better understanding of what we like. If you have a client that is interested in using Pinterest, you should be sure to give them access to the page so that they can do some pinning themselves. This is a great way to give their business personality and share other interesting pictures and videos that may be a little off topic. Creating personal boards is also another awesome way to gain more followers, since you will be expanding their reach within Pinterest by having different categorized boards.

These are just 2 simple tips that can really go a long way on Pinterest. We plan on releasing more Pinterest marketing tips in the future, so make sure to keep checking back for more! Now it’s your turn, share some of your personal tips and ideas to help others market using Pinterest!

If you are wondering how to market a restaurant using social media, then you have come to the right place. Social media marketing is clearly one of the most effective and affordable marketing strategies currently available. Not only can restaurant owners access social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Foursquare for free, but they can also hire professionals if they do not have the time to market their business themselves. Here are a few ideas to increase the amount of loyal and repeat customers to your restaurant!

Deals/Coupons

A great way to gain new customers is by simply creating an incentive through your social media accounts. If you hire a social media marketing team to do the job, then the odds are they will create a custom welcome page. By doing so, fans will have to “Like” the Facebook fan page in order to receive the incentive. A strategy that has worked well in the past for our clients was to offer a 15-25% discount off of any meal if the consumer “Liked” the page.

Custom Facebook Coupon Example

There are numerous programs that can make this task extremely simple so that when a consumer clicks “Like” they are presented with a printable coupon. This strategy will easily draw in some new customers because they now have a discount, and let’s be real, anyone will at least try a restaurant that they have a coupon for right? Remember if you have an incentive, this will increase the amount of likes your page receives. Whenever someone “Likes” your page, this will be sent to their friends News Feed. One person “Liking” your Facebook fan page can lead to hundreds of others seeing your restaurant’s page as well. Social media is easily becoming the new king of word of mouth marketing!

Creating a FourSquare account is another excellent way to send out promotions to your customers. FourSquare is a smart phone application that allows users to “Check-In” at any location that is listed within the app. By creating an account for your restaurant, you will be listed on FourSquare within local customers surrounding area. This means you will show up when the consumer searches for local restaurants. You can set up a “Check-In” coupon, which means that every time someone comes to your restaurant and “Checks-In” they will receive a discount that they can show to the cashier. This is another innovative way to engage your customers and offer incentives at the same time.

Physical Promotion

Sample Social Media Poster

Physical promotion is an awesome way to show your loyal customers, and even new customers, that you are on social networking websites. Creating a poster that contains each of the social networks that your restaurant belongs to, along with the links, is a great way to gain new Followers and Fans to your accounts. Loyal customers will want to become a Fan of your business on Facebook, or Follow your business on Twitter, to receive updates, which could lead to your business getting positive feedback for all to see. By giving customers a platform to interact with your restaurant one-on-one, you are opening up a whole new innovative form of customer service.

If your restaurant has a website, online menu, or coupons/deals that are located online, then QR codes are perfect for your restaurant. You can simply go to a design company and have them create customized coasters that can sit upon your table and they will contain your social media accounts, along with a QR code. The QR code can lead them to your website or a coupon that is available online. This is a great way to be innovative with your physical marketing campaign. Sure customers must have a smart phone to scan the code, but even if they don’t, then they can visit your Facebook fan page and receive the same coupon for “Liking” your page. This is really a simple task that could possibly cost anywhere from $25-75 dollars depending on how many coasters you need and the size of the poster.

It’s your turn! How would you market a restaurant using social media!?

LinkedIn is potentially the greatest way to create meaningful connections that are actually relative to your field of work. We know that you do not have the time to be visiting LinkedIn because your life is so busy, but what if you could make use of this social networking site in just a few short minutes? Here are some tips to help you network on LinkedIn in as little as 15 minutes a day!

Join Discussions (5 Minutes)

One of the best parts of LinkedIn would have to be the great discussions that are created between like minded individuals. This is why it is important to join groups that are relative to your career and join the discussions. This step should not take more than 5 minutes if you have already joined a few groups and really are an expert in your field.

When you login to LinkedIn, the first thing you should do is take a quick overview of your groups and check out the conversations that are going on. Wherever you think that you can add some positive and informative insight in a conversation, just do it! Even if it is a short blurb, at least you are adding to the discussion and showing that you care about what others in your field have to say. One helpful comment can lead to a slew of new connections if they like what you shared with the group.

Create Connections (5 Minutes)

The whole purpose behind LinkedIn is to create business connections with others. These connections can be extremely beneficial, especially if they share the same career as you. You can gain industry insights and share some knowledge between one another. Adding connections is a quick and simple task if you have been participating in group discussions.

Simply go into the groups that you have joined and see who is talking. These are usually the most active people on LinkedIn because they take the time to join conversations and share some personal knowledge with others. Find some professionals that you would like to add to your connections list and just add them! Send them a personal message as to why you would like to add them to your connections list and then hopefully they will accept it. Start adding a few people a day and overtime it will add up, which will lead to a network of connections that may be beneficial in the future.

Stay Updated (5 Minutes)

This last step is simple, and you can use as little or as much time as you want to accomplish this task. Stay updated on your industry! Read what others in your network are posting by taking a look at your news feed. This is a great way to gain some information that you may not have found otherwise. Always be sure to thank your connection for sharing, or comment on status updates that you like, and this will show that you are listening to what they are sharing.

If you are up early and are having your normal cup of coffee, then scroll through your newsfeed and I am sure that you will find a gem of information that you had no idea about. Also LinkedIn has a news section that covers stories in the business world. Share some articles with your network that you personally enjoy, and see what comes of it! Not only are you helping yourself with this information, but you are ensuring your network that you are active and want to help.

Let’s hear it guys! What are some of your tips to gain connections on LinkedIn and build your network???

Sometimes it can be difficult to keep track of every little mention, retweet, and conversation that is taking place on Twitter. That is why we have compiled a list of the top 5 tools to help manage your Twitter account and stay on top of your community at all times!

#1 Hootsuite

We personally love Hootsuite! Sure it can manage your Google+, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles as well, but we personally love it the most for managing ours and our clients Twitter accounts. You are able to customize the feeds to your liking so that you can view what you want when you want. Some of the best features of this program are that you can schedule tweets, save your searches, and even schedule videos and images to be posted at any time that you desire. Another great reason to start using Hootsuite is simply because you can track the statistics of each of your links that you post on Twitter. This is great to see what links were effective and which ones weren’t.

If you are the owner of a social media marketing business, then you should definitely consider purchasing the premium version of Hootsuite right away! You will be able to manage all sorts of social media accounts, and work with your team members in and online based dashboard. Give this tool a try and we guarantee you will not want to use another social media dashboard ever again!

#2 Tweetdeck

Although Tweetdeck has a few less features than Hootsuite, it still does not mean that is isn’t a great tool to manage your Twitter account. You are allowed to manage your Twitter account through an online based window that contains feeds just like Hootsuite. There is not much else to say about Tweetdeck that was not already explained above, but if you are looking for another free online dashboard for your team members to use, then this is perfect for you!

#3 Commun.it

When it comes down to maintaining your community on Twitter, it can be a bit overwhelming. You are trying to keep up with all of your new followers, mentions, retweets, and conversations that you may lose track of whom are your true influencers and supporters of your business.

Commun.it is perfect to create some great connections and never lose track of who is really interested and engaging amongst your community members. In this online dashboard, you are allowed to track your most engaged members, supporters, and influencers. If you are looking for some suggestions as to who to follow, then you can view a list of people that you should consider following or unfollowing.

All in all, Commun.it is a great tool for maintaining everything going on within your community, and helps you add other beneficial members through this tools suggestion list. Commun.it is currently an invite only Beta, but you can visit the website to request an invite. We use this and truly recommend it to social media community managers everywhere!

#4 Crowdbooster

Crowdbooster is a great tool for tracking your Twitter accounts analytics. You can view how many new followers you have, the amount of tweets you posted, how many mentions you received, and the amount of retweets that you have acquired. This management tool allows users to view the amount of impressions that each of their tweets has received on a graph dotted with circles everywhere. If you click on one of the dots you will be presented with how many replies, retweets, and overall impressions that your tweet has received.

The best feature overall is the fact that you can receive a weekly update feature that can be sent directly to your email. This is great for community managers that do not have the time to overlook all of the analytics themselves and want everything in one easily understandable email. Plus, Crowdbooster will give you a list of your top followers so that you can give them a #FF (Follow Friday) shout out. Also you will receive a list of influential followers that they suggest you should be engaging with.

#5 ManageFlitter

If you are looking for a easy way to unfollow all of the people that are not following you back, then ManageFlitter is your best choice. This program shows a simple drop down list filled with all of the people not following you so that you can either manually unfollow each, or pay for the premium version and unfollow all of the them in one simple click.

There are also another few lists that you can choose from to see whom is and isn’t active on Twitter. Just like the “Not Following” list, you can view who is talking and who is inactive, which makes it easier to choose who you want to keep, or who you want to delete. This is a great way to keep your community free of inactive profiles, or even profiles that do not contain any images, since we all know those are usually the people that never visit their Twitter profiles.

What are some of the tools that you guys recommend to manage your Twitter accounts!?

Using social media as a tool for marketing is becoming a growing trend amongst large corporations and small businesses alike. Most business owners unfortunately do not know how to increase interactions on their Facebook fan page. Let us help you increase the amount of interactions and the level of engagement your business receives on their social networking accounts.

1. Quality Post’s

One of our biggest pet peeves, here at Frog Social Media Solutions, is seeing businesses sharing boring or unoriginal post’s with their community. Creating fresh and appealing content is a one way ticket to success in the world of social media. Most users are visiting the internet to gain information about a certain subject, product, or service. So if you are not giving your fans what they really want then they will most likely not visit your Facebook fan page again. When a piece of relevant and original content is shared on your wall, then you should be able to sit back, relax, and watch the comments roll in. Content is a great way to increase your interactions on Facebook and create a one-on-one engagement with your fans that is unrivaled. Sharing blog posts directly from your website to your fan page, will lead to a higher click through rate as well.

2. Business News/Information

Most businesses on Facebook simply list their information in the info section on their page and then leave it alone. Little do they know, fans usually visit to their page to find out current information and news about your business. Be sure to include new breakthroughs and news within your fan pages status updates. This way your fans will be updated with your businesses happenings and will feel as if they are getting the inside scoop because they became a fan of your Facebook page. Offering news and information that cannot be found anywhere else but your Facebook page, gives users a reason to press the “Like” button.

3. Applications

If you are looking to stand out from the crowd of bland fan pages, then you should be sure to invest in custom Facebook applications. There are numerous websites to find applications that can be quickly installed onto your fan page. All you have to do is simply search “Facebook fan page apps” on Google and you will find tons of innovative apps. We personally use the Twitter and YouTube applications on our fan page. This leads to increased YouTube views and a boost in followers on your Twitter profile because of its ease of access. Adding apps to your fan page will increase the amount of time spent on your Facebook page and will direct fans to your other social networking profiles.

It’s Your Turn!

Let’s hear what you guys think are the best strategies to increase interactions and engagement on your Facebook fan page!
